What's up with this clvl?

Found this one yday. Why on earth does it require clvl 73? None of the mods scream "high clvl only".

Code:
Entropy Beads
Amulet
Required Level: 73
Fingerprint: 0x2e4a5b1b
Item Level: 85
Version: Expansion 1.10+
+1 to Necromancer Skill Levels
6% Life stolen per hit
+16 to Dexterity
Fire Resist +22%
6% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
|||its the life leach, that requires that lvl|||From the Arreat Summit suffix page:

Code:
Lamprey 6-9% Life Stolen Per Hit Melee Weapons(55)[8-9%], Circlets(77)[7-8%], Amulets(85)[6%] Rings(77)[7-8%]

which reads as "of the Lamprey" on amulets is affix level 85. Apparently that gives the level 73 requirement. Getting "of the Lamprey" on a crafted amulet usually means a ridiculously high level requirement.|||why does the presence of an affix that requires a level of 85 produce a requirement for level 73?|||Quote:

alvl, ilvl and rlvl are different things.

alvl is the affix level. It is different for different items, depending on the ilvl and the qlvl. For grand charms, rings and amulets, the alvl is always equal to ilvl since qlvl is 1.

ilvl is the item level. This will be equal to the monster that dropped the item, or in the case of vendors (normal has ilvl caps for acts, so doesn't apply there) clvl+5. Gambles have a range of clvl-5 through clvl+4 Max ilvl is 99

rlvl is the level requirement on the item itself. For many affixes, this is 3alvl/4, but NOT for all. +skill tab on amulets follow that rule of thumb; on charms it doesn't.

Do a search for item generation tutorial, and you'll find much more detailed info.|||Actually, I am intimately familiar with the Item generation tutorial. I have the item textfiles on a spreadsheet and I do my own calculations on drop rates that I am interested in and that are not on the ATMA calculator.

What i did not know is that rlvl is sometimes/often 3/4 affix-lvl. Thanks.
