Which one has the potential to do the most damage? I have not played in a while so i assumed that upping eth uniq has a negative effect..|||Hmm? Nope.
Upping upgrades the exceptional base item to it's elite form, increasing the damage (in this case almost doubling it) and requirements. Eth items have a 50% bonus to base damage and decrease the requirements.|||Is it for merc or your char?
Upped non-eth HS has reqs like lvl63, str120+, dex160+ iirc...|||Back in 1.10 there was a negative effect to upping eth *armor* but that was "fixed" in 1.11, introducing the double-eth thing when socketing armor in the cube.
Upping eth weapons work exactly as expected. Eth items have -10 str and dex required.
I'm not so good with item values, but I hear from mid-lvl duelers that every time an eth Hone is upped, Diablo kills several kitten.
