No, I'm afraid that you are way off topic.|||Quote:

[524 * (1.5^2) * 3] + 15

How do you get to that calculation?|||524 --> base defense

* (1.5^2) = 1.5 x 1.5 --> 1.5 for eth and another 1.5 for the eth-socketing bug

* 3 --> +200% Enhanced Defense from Fort

+15 --> +15 Defense from Fort|||As soon as chilling armor is triggered, another 115%def will be added.|||That's err... off-armour ED though, so it'll sum with Shout and Stone Skin.|||Quote:

How dows the eth socketing bug work?

And what if the armor has 15 ed by it self?|||Quote:

If you find an non superior, non socketed eth armor and cube it together with 1 Tal Rune, 1 Thul Rune and 1 Perfect Topaz it will end up socketed. As a side effect of the cube recipe the armor will also recieve 50% more defense. Essentially the eth bonus of 50% more defense will be applied twice (base def * 1,5 * 1,5).

The recipe used does not work with superior armors.

Taken from the Arreat Summit:

Quote:

1 Tal Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Topaz + Normal Body Armor = Socketed Body Armor of same type

The number of sockets created will vary. The item must be normal and unsocketed. Low-quality items and superior items do not work. The item gets 1-4 sockets, randomly. However, the number of sockets is then restricted by the maximum number of sockets that base item with that ilvl can have. The chance to get X sockets in most armor is 1/4 (I.E: Mage plate has a max of 3 sockets, so it has a 2/4 [1/2] chance to get 3 sockets). The base of 6 was used in the ratios for all the above mentioned areas.
