What would be my best luck of getting a druid helm with the +2 druid skills, a then a mix of the +3 staff mods for any of the following stats; Tornado, Hurricane, Cyclone armour, Oak Spirit, Grizzly Bear. I understand that some of them can't work with another due to the difference in ilvls and seperated tiers.
I think my best luck would be getting a dream spirit, qlvl 85 (for the look and def) imbuing it with my highest level (char lvl 94) and the rolling it with the 6pgem recipe. If I follow this method what is the best I can look at for the helm (which staff mods basically) and what % am I looking for getting one with +2, and 3 +3 staff mods (I understand this will be a lot lower then .01%)
Is there any way I can improve my odds other then using that method and how many times would I be able to roll the helm before the level drops too much from the skull recipe?
If I am missing anything or if I have been misinformed on some things please let me know.|||You probably find more rare pelts than sets of 18 flawless skulls, so the best way to get one is picking up what you stumble over or trade for one. Until then, be satisfied with Jalal's.|||Heh, I am a massive gem trader so I generally have a couple hundred profit gems that flow through me a day a lot of them being skulls since no one ever uses the recipe. I would be easy to gleam a few off the top to try my luck.|||In that case you can as well trade your resources for a pelt of your desires. That's probably a safer thing than rolling up one yourself

+2 Druid skills is just alvl 50, so youre good there.
Then its a matter of what ilvl you want for the best chance of desired staffmods. Heres the quick rundown about how staffmods are selected:
Base tier to use for an item is determined by the ilvl as
1: 1-11
2: 12-18
3: 19-24
4: 25-36
5: 37+
then there is a random adjustment made for which tier to actually use when selecting the actual skill:
20% chance to add 1
50% chance to stay unmodified
20% chance to subtract 1
10% chance to subtract 2
Your desired skills:
Level 6: Oak Sage
Level 12: Cyclone Armor
Level 24: Tornado
Level 30: Grizzly, Hurricane
So it looks like you mostly want to be in the upper part of skill tiers, which means you want the ilvl to be at least 37. That means that Oak Sage is impossible, but any of the other can spawn. It also means that you can keep rolling the head as much as you want, as long as the character has a reasonably high level.
I made a little test in an Excel spreadsheet. If you keep rolling the head with a level 60 character, the ilvl will stabilize at 40 after a couple of rolls. 40 is high enough for the level 24 skills to be the base tier.|||Wow, thanks for the quick run down on the math there Jiansonz. Pretty much exactly what I needed. I had all that information at my fingertips, I just didn't know how to effectively put it togeather without the headache.
Thank you very much.
