It gives 1:48 in odds of dropping, and now after an entire evening running i've not got anything, not even an green/gold.
Is this common with Griswold or did i just get unlucky?

You're unlucky with Griswold... Keep at it...|||I don't think that 1/48 for Viper from Griswold in nightmare is right. Even the chance for Serpentskin Armor is lower - around 1/80. Griswold is more like target for socketables.
Your target for Viper should be nightmare Mephisto.|||uh your drop calc is totally messed up if it thinks griswold drops vmagi that often.

^this site puts the drop rate for vmagi from NM griswold at 1 in 6872 (thats with 0 MF and players 1... you can get that higher but not anywhere near 1:48)|||1:48 is way too high for any unique from any monster. As was said, go for nightmare Meph.|||Thanks for the answers. As i thought the drop calc seems to be bugged. Will stick to Meph from now on.|||NM andy is a better choice IMO.
