Magic level and circlet gambling

[:1]Could anyone please explain how does this thing work? I was under impression you need to be 95lvl to gamble for +2skills (so every gambled circlet will have chance to get +2), but reading wiki confused me a little.

What is the minimum level to effectively gamble for +2 skills? I believe gambling cost raises each level, and %rare odds are the same now for every clvl. Also is there any difference in gambling circlets/coronets (other than max socket thing).

Thanks.|||+2 skills has an affix level of 90, except for class-specific items where it's 50 if possible.

Gambling produces items with an ilvl of charlvl-5 to charlvl+4, randomly.

For amulets you need an ilvl of 90 for the +2 skills affixes being available (alvl=ilvl for amulets because their base qlvl is 1). That means, at L86, 10% of the gambled amulets have a chance for +2, 20% at L87 etc. and finally 100% at L95.

For circlet-like items, the alvl is max(ilvl, base qlvl)+magic level. Circlet: magic level=3, coronet: 8, tiara: 13, diadem: 18. The base qlvl of circlets is rather low, so for gambling it's basically ilvl+3 which means from L92 on, all gambled circlets have a chance for +2 skills. It's L87 for coronets and I strongly suggest to gamble for these because (1) circlets don't have a chance to be upgraded to exeptional or elite while gambling and (2) ionly tiaras and diadems can have 3 sockets which might be important because 90% of your gambles will be magical.

For items with no magic level or a qlvl of more than 1 (i.e. nearly all the rest), the calculation is a bit more complex. See the affix level calculation procedure.|||Thanks for detailed info.

But circlets are like 50% cheaper (2/3 or coronet cost or so), does the opportunity to get magic 3s pay this off? And can you get 3s on magic tiara/diadem due larzuk, or it it only for socketing affix?|||Nope, if an item can have 2 or more sockets Larzuk always gives 1 or 2 sockets with a 50% chance for each.|||It's just an issue with respect to the jeweler's affix. Maybe it doesn't pay off, but it probably hurts more if you gamble a jeweler's circlet of (something nice) and and it couldn't get the 3 sockets which it was supposed to receive
