Gamblin' a Griffon's

As I approach 25000 pindle runs, I am in need of some astronomical odds to remind me that pindle is a 'good source.' What are the odds of gambling a unique diadem?|||Look in the Item Generation Tutorial chapter 13. It's a matter of combining several formulae (ofc there is a minimum level for gambling screens even showing coronets) given the gambling base as coronet (qlvl=52) and the upgrade base as diadem (qlvl=85). Since the ilvl is determined by the clvl when gambling, the result will depend upon which level you choose for gambling (higher is ofc better) and consequently cannot be stated as fixed odds.

It's pretty straightforward math though.

#EDIT: As the chapter shows, 1 in 2000 gambled diadems will be unique.|||Best clvl for that gamble is 99 - here you have the best chance for upgrade to diadem - 5.125%. And that will become unique one 1 in 2000 times. So the chance for Griffon's Eye is 0.0025625% or approx. 1/39024.

For clvl98 - 0.0024635% or approx. 1/40593

For clvl97 - 0.002348% or approx. 1/42589

For clvl96 - 0.002216% or approx. 1/45126

For clvl95 - 0.0020675% or approx. 1/48368

So even with only 200MF Pindleskin is much better than gamble.|||A couple of ladders ago I had a dedicated goldfinder and gambled a Griffon's. I have no idea how many hats I bought, but I've never gambled anything better.|||Of course within a couple days of me posting, someone had to go and do it. Wow|||I dont know that seems too rare to me. I would not even dare gamble crowns to be honest. You know try to gamble a coa. Mfing for one will prolly be easier.
