Hunting the elusive Titan's Revenge

[:1]I've seen numerous posts on here before suggestion Titan's Revenge can be gotten from nightmare Mephisto/Baal, possibly even Diablo? The question is, in the countless runs I've demolished all three of these bosses, I've only found a handful of rare ceremonial javelins. As a side note, I usually equip around 400+ magic find before I finish a boss.

My question is, are there any other, possibly better locations to find rare ceremonial javelins in my hunt for Titan's Revenge? Thanks. |||You mean unique Ceremonial Javelins. Atma 1.11 drop calculator says the following for a players 1, 250 MF character:

1:770 Baal (Norm)

1:816 Mephisto (NM)

1:855 Diablo (NM)

1:901 Baal (NM)

1:1016 Mephisto (H)

1:1056 Diablo (H)

1:1070 Baal (H)

It drops off pretty sharply after that. Your 400 MF would multiply each of those by 1.1257x. If you can do it on 5 players, it would multiply by another 1.23x, making the most likely (Baal Normal) = 1:556. Doing 5 players @ 400 MF and running Nightmare Meph + Diablo + Baal, you'd have about a 1:206 chance of getting 1 or more Titans per combined run (just from those bosses.)

I don't know whether the 1.13 drop chance would change Titans much, but I doubt it.|||I'm pretty sure that Andariel can drop it, too and she's probably an excellent target for it because of the first kill bug.|||I've gotten them from NM Meph and the monsters in the NM Chaos Sanc.|||Alright, thank you all. Few more things however, if you don't mind.

Can someone elaborate a little on this Andariel bug, and whether it's truly confirmed? I've read things, but I'm not sure what to make of it. If I understand correctly, if you kill Andariel and leave the game directly after, her drop rate will remain at the quest level (which is almost half) correct? In any case, I've spoken to Warriv each time. So I'm afraid it won't work.

Now let's say a mob I encounter occasionally drops rare ceremonial javelins, does this mean it's possible MF will increase the odds of it dropping a uni ceremonial javelin? And what are some possible areas to run in NM/Hell for Titan's? Hell Pit/Forgotten Tower, perhaps?

As for increasing players, not sure I'm tempted to make public games. Especially on hardcore. Thanks for the tip though.|||No, it's the other way around.

If you leave the game right after killing her, you will not get further first kill drops and you blew it permanently on that difficulty level, for that character. You have to talk to one of the guys in town after the kill and maybe also move to act 2 before leaving to ensure first kill drops from her all the time. Talking to warriv does bot, so you probably have permanent first kill drops.

If Andy never drops scrolls, potions or similar junk and all her magical items have double durability (which happens if a set item is meant to drop, but there is none of that kind), you have first kill drops.|||Ahah, thank you. So kill Andy in Hell you think? ;p|||If it's just about Titan's, Andy in nightmare will be better because there are less item types which can make up her loot, so the chance for Titan's is higher. However, when considering drops in general, hell Andy is better, of course.

It doesn't make sense to select your MF target because of a single item, that's a waste of time. Better select a generally good target and if you find something else, you can trade it for Titan's.|||If you're keen on self finding don't forget the crafting safety weapon option which works with blue ceremonial javelins. |||I am also unclear about the Andy bug. I can't even find confirmation that it still exists. And if it does, I have wondered whether the timing of talking to someone in town matters. There is always a delay between killing Andy and her quest completion triggering. What if you go really fast to Warriv and go to act 2 before the quest completes? Does that trigger it, kill it, or affect it either way?

As for Andy dropping it, only hell Andy can. Didn't know you were HC Bnet. I'll give you revised odds for 1 player @ 400 MF, including Andy:

1:684 Baal (Norm)

1:725 Meph (NM)

1:759 Diablo (NM)

1:800 Baal (NM)

1:834 Andy (H, quest drop)

1:904 Meph (H)

1:939 Diablo (H)

1:952 Baal (H)

1:1584 Duriel (NM)

1:1922 Andy (H, normal drop)

1:1979 Duriel (H)

After that it would be NM/H Cow King (which it's hard to kill repeatedly) and then all the odds are past 1:5000.

Nightmare bosses are quicker and still can give a lot of good items, I guess it's up to you what you want to run. If you want combined odds, doing Meph+Diablo+Baal on Nightmare gives about 1:254 combined chance of Titans . Doing Andy+Meph+Diablo+Baal in Hell gives about 1:227 combined chance. I have to imagine that the Nightmare runs would get it for you faster overall.

Are you just self-found? If not, Titan's shouldn't be that hard to trade for.
