item upgrading (cube recipes)

hey guys, not sure this is the right place to post this but here goes...

ive got a 6socket naga with 15ed and 15max dura, if i could make this into a berserker axe it would be great,so my question is can you upgrade socketed items with cube recipes?

and if so how would i do this particular item?
